Russell represents mortgage lenders and banks, title insurance companies and their insureds, and property owners in connection with mortgage loan foreclosures, property receiverships, workouts, real estate financing, title insurance, and litigation. He is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.

Russell received his law degree from The George Washington University Law School, where he was elected to the Moot Court Board. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester, where he graduated magna cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

He is a 2006 graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA) in Louisville, Colorado. Founded in 1971, NITA is the premier trial advocacy training institute for practicing attorneys.

Russell’s family has lived and worked in the Washington metropolitan area for five generations. He was born in the District, raised in Rockville, and lives in Georgetown. He is a 1992 graduate of the Maret School (Go Frogs!).

He is an active member of the District of Columbia Land Title Association, the Maryland Land Title Association, and the Virginia Land Title Association, and teaches seminars for attorneys and other real estate professionals on topics related to his practice.

Russell has been named to the 2013 and 2014 Washington, DC Rising Stars lists of the Super Lawyers rating service.
